To break out of your bubble is sometimes necessary if you want to innovate, be creative and grow.
So when do you break out of your bubble? And what did that lead to?
That’s the central question at Meet the Neighbours Festival 2024.
On the 28th of March, we will get to know new people and meet with old friends. We will listen to their stories and see what we can learn from them.
Read along as we introduce the keynote speakers and tell you more about the event
Meet Mark Tuitert, an Olympic gold medalist whose mindset is aligned with Stoic principles.
In the world of top sports, Tuitert emphasizes the importance of focusing on controllable factors, instead of external variables, such as opponents.
Where accepting reality and critically examining personal judgments and thoughts is key. By sharing his experiences, he offers insights that can help others discover and realize their own potential.
Burst your bubble! His philosophy focuses on steering what you can influence in a positive way.
The Meet The Neighbours Festival exists so you can connect with your neighbours. In the broadest sense of the word.
Connect with your actual neighbours, but also look around. There may be more than meets the eye.
MTNF is an informative event where networking is central. From fascinating presentations and interactive workshops to inspiring talks.
We invite everyone to get to know each other in a festival-like atmosphere. We hope that our members and neighbours from the area not only feel involved in what is happening within our buildings, but that it goes further than that.
As neighbours we can learn from each other and we do this by talking to each other and actually meeting each other.
We hope your bubble will be bursted.
Meet Lammert Kamphuis, philosopher, who will discuss life’s big questions on March 28th and invites you to learn to look at yourself and situations differently.
For example, he wrote the successful book ‘The Addiction to Our Own Right’. Expect him to give a talk about how our tunnel vision becomes serious when we cling to people who look like us.
Lammert makes you think about the influence of your social circle on your perspectives and encourages you to embrace the power of real connections.
This will certainly be a worthwhile chat and will ensure that you step out of your old familiar thinking bubble.
How does the stoic mindset help you in your daily life?
Will it get easier to break out of your bubble?
Mark learned a lot during his Olympic career. But what can he teach you?
One of the few modern philosophers of our time.
What can you learn about his books: philosophy for a remarkable life; the way to freedom and addicted to our own right?
A friendly face with an important message.
Maarten takes his audience on a journey, sailing across the oceans. In doing so, he draws connections to his life as a commercial director.
He creates a world in which we must make choices between dreams and actions, and between dreams and nightmares.
Like no other, he knows what that nightmare can be. He fell overboard in the pitch-dark night on the Pacific Ocean, without anyone knowing.
His inspiring and motivating talks revolve around the development of resilience, trust, teamwork, and personal leadership.
Our ambition is to encourage people to step outside their bubbles and take ownership on their personal leadership.
Personal leadership is significantly influenced by the authentic connections we build with others.
That’s why, in this brief workshop, Fanbased will guide you through a few practical steps to create genuine connections and experience the impact.
